This is following the elimination diet and cutting out simple carbs and sugar from your diet.
Almost all of us eat way too many carbs than our bodies needs to function. Carbs are readily available, easy to cook, and are the most affordable options out there when you have to eat out.
However, eating too many carbs results in excess calories which ultimately end up being stored as fat.
Taking a break from carbs help you eat less, regulate your hormones, and ultimately, get to lose weight.
You eliminate foods like bread, rice, yam, pasta, noodles, pastries, fried foods, etc from your diet and eat mostly vegetables, lean protein, healthy fats, whole grains, and minimal fruits.
During your detox, you should only eat 1 serving of carbs in a day.
1 serving of carbs will be 1 Cup of oats, 2 slices of whole wheat bread, 1 cup of beans, etc.
The second thing you need to do on your 7 days detox diet is stick to water alone. You should be drinking 3 liters of water daily during your 7 days detox diet.
Supplement your water intake with herbal teas.
